A trailer for a non-existent documentary about an unpopular band making a record. We recorded this goofy song at the session, but it didn’t quite fit with the record itself so I used it for this video.
The thing that most people don’t realize about making records is there is a stunning amount of time spent waiting around. It’s dull. The technical stuff takes a long time to set up, and rushing it is a very bad idea. My usual way of dealing with boredom is to pull out a camera and start shooting. Boredom and goofing around for the camera turned out quite nice in this instance.
Shot with a Canon 5D mII and a Canon 50mm. Maybe some 100mm in there as well, because switching lenses would have given me something to do.
