A short documentary about Oakland figurative painter Jane Fisher.
Jane is my wife and a constant inspiration. The number of ideas that go through her studio and the intensity with which she works on them is nearly impossible to convey, and I often feel like a passenger on a fast moving train when I walk into her studio. This was shot over the course of a couple of years, but the bulk of it was shot January 2018. There will be an entirely new set of work in progress by the summer, all of it at the same high level of conception and execution.
